Torrance Superior Court Judge granted nonsuit in favor of our client, a construction estimator for a roofing company, after plaintiff presented its case-in-chief to a jury. Plaintiff alleged that our client’s negligence contributed to a water loss at its industrial building near LAX. The Court agreed that plaintiff failed to introduce more than a “scintilla” evidence to establish a prima facie case against our client in order to overcome a nonsuit. We successfully recovered costs for our client.
